Customers say
Customers find this jacket very warm for cold winter weather, with one mentioning it works well with a single midlayer like a hoodie. The fit is comfortable with plenty of length in the sleeves, and the jacket is well-made with a tough face fabric that holds up over time. They appreciate its style, with one noting the nice contrast between the exterior shell and interior, and find the pockets appropriately deep with good placement. Customers describe the jacket as soft and cozy, and consider it well worth the money.

Warm
Really nice jacket. Warm and comfortable. All the pockets are great. Fits nicely. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the hood is a bit small for my liking but not a big deal. Overall great coat and built sturdy.

Bad ass
I’m 6’ @ 195lbs. It’s thick, well made, super warm, looks great. I think the zipper is good quality but time will tell. I bought the XL in a tall and it fits perfectly. It’s canvas like shell is durable and can handle light rain. This is a great jacket for any occasion and the price is right. Hope this helps

Carhartt Nails It with this Awesome Jacket
This one hits all the important points for me! Got one in brown, and another for my son in gravel. Top attributes: 1) super durable and tough face fabric with the 12 oz duck canvas, 2) fit is not too much of a relaxed fit – it is not baggy (compared to other Carhartt products in same size where extra fabric just gets in the way of actual work use), 3) decent warmth and comfort with the sherpa lining (but don’t expect it to keep you as warm as a puffer), 4) useful chest pockets for phone, pens, knife, and 5) overall good design that balances function and style. Low attributes, but not terrible: 1) heavy and bulky, 2) hood is just a tad too big, 3) mmm, nothing else noteworthy!

Perfect!
I got this for my SO for Christmas and it was definitely a win! Fit perfect, he loved the extra pockets and the things added to make it more comfortable for working, and it is very warm! The color was great for his taste and with Carrhart you know you’re getting a quality product!

Perfect Fit, Great Jacket.
I was conflicted between the small and medium size, but I took a chance on the small, even know I normally wear mediums in hoodies and other jackets.I based my size off of a Wrangler work jacket I recieved last year for Christmas that was a size medium. Unfortunately, that jacket was a bit too big, for the sleeves went far past my wrists and the shoulder seams went too far past the end of my shoulder. It felt too bulky as well.So for this Carharrt I took a chance on the size small and didn’t regret it. It fit perfect; the shoulder seams lined up and the sleeves covered my wrists perfectly. The length was good as well without it extending too low below my hips. I was even able to wear my favorite hoodie underneath it without the jacket feeling constrained and arm movement still feeling spacious.Keep in mind I have a relatively small frame, anyway so your mileage may vary.I asked my dad to try the jacket on, who is an inch shorter than me and has a more athletic build with slightly bigger shoulders, and it fit him perfect as well. The jacket itself feels high quality and will definitely hold up to some wear and the sherpa will definitely keep you warm. It’s now probably the best jacket I’ve ever owned with plenty of pockets and a lightweight feel to the overall coat.Highly recommend if your considering it, for it is a solid alternative if the Detroit jacket lacks too little features for you.

6’2 190lbs got a Large Tall
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what size to order and I ended up going with the large tall. It fits extremely well. I have plenty of length in the sleeves, and plenty of room to layer a hoodie underneath if I need to, however this thing has been keeping me warm in 20-30° weather so far.The quality of the jacket is extremely nice, it has thick fabric and a nice hood. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the zipper is not nearly as nice as one of my older carhartt jackets that I have. It is much smaller and does not feel as strong.Overall, I am loving the jacket after a few weeks of daily wear.

Husband approved
I bought this jacket as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely loves it! He works outside in Colorado, and this jacket keeps him warm and comfortable, even in the colder weather. The sherpa lining is cozy, and the relaxed fit makes it easy to move around in. It’s durable, practical, and looks great. Definitely a solid choice for anyone who spends time outdoors in chilly conditions!

Awesome jacket
I love this jacket. I’ve had it for a few months now and use it almost daily in the winter here in NY and it’s been a cold winter, this jacket keeps me warmer than any other I have owned in the past. It feels durable and is clearly well made. I’m 6’1 so I ordered the tall version and it’s a perfect fit. Was expensive but your not just paying for the name brand, it’s the quality of the jacket that’s worth that extra price.

It is the same as the advertised pictures. The size fits very well (bought size S; I’m a woman, 170 cm, 58 kg). The quality is really amazing.

I’m 5’11 225lbs muscular build. I ordered the XL tall. I live in Ottawa Canada so I needed a warm roomy coat like this. These reviews on here are all over the place and very inaccurate, some people say it’s too big, it’s too small. It’s tough to go by all these *cough* wonderful *cough* reviews. For reference I wear large size t shirts from Walmart.I got an XL tall because L tall was sold out. The length of the coat is perfect but the sleeves are a bit long on me, I feel like the standard would have been too short on the coat as many have said, but the sleeves would have been better so pros and cons there. I’m not super tall but I wanted a longer coat.I would have preferred the large no doubt in my mind but I’m not swimming in the XL. It fits just how an XL jacket should fit. Next time I will get large, no biggie. Jackets are always going to be a bit bigger than t shirt sizes to allow for layering you silly people. Duh.The material is nice and tough the lining is very nice. The zipper is good quality. The front pockets are for HANDS not GEAR(stuff will fall out sideways)The strings to adjust the hood have an interesting design. The little beads you squeeze to choke up on the strings and keep them from moving are actually hidden inside the trim of the coat which is a classy little feature, they aren’t swinging like every other coat out there. The gussets on the back of the shoulders allow full movement, you are not constricted in any way. The elastic in the cuffs is pretty tight but should loosen over time.Overall it’s a fantastic jacket and I really have no real complaints. It’s beautiful and built exceptionally well.I will have to see how long it will last. I’m a mason and work outside often in the winter so that will be a good test to the longevity of this coat and I will report back here when it receives damage for you guys.I have had bad experiences with Carhartt pants. The pants are so expensive and they did not last in my trade at all. Better off going dickies at half the price FOR PANTS that’s just my opinion on that.I will be buying the Bartlett again 100%.At the $174 I paid here on Amazon I think I the quality surpasses the price.
