I recommend ordering one of the regular colors sold by a US merchant and fulfilled by Amazon. When you receive your order check it carefully to ensure it’s of sufficient build quality and compare it to pictures posted in the reviews here.****I received a genuine product, although the handle on mine is not labeled. It’s very sturdy and the telescoping handle has just the right amount of tension so that it will not slip out of position when I’m scratching my back. It’s long enough for me to reach the edge of my pants when reaching in from the top with the handle fully extended, so I don’t have any problems reaching any part of my back. The hard rubber on the handle has a good grip and I have no problem keeping the claws toward my back. I keep one of these in my bag and it’s great to pull it out whenever I have a terrible back itch, which I always get in the middle of my back between my shoulder blades, the most difficult or impossible part to reach. It’s not perfect, however. I read another review that mentioned the sharpness of the claws and apparently this is known as the the sharpest (or one of) the sharpest back scratchers on the market. I’ve never owned a bamboo or plastic one so I can’t compare but the wooden ones look much duller than this one. For me, it works to calm the itch, but it’s just not as sharp or satisfying as having actual fingernails scratching the itch. I think it’s a combination of the sharpness and the size of the scratching surface (an adult’s hand with five fingernails vs. this tiny claw can cover a lot more surface area.) Nonetheless, it does it’s job well and it’s convenient to have on hand.

Wer, wie ich, immer einen Rückenkratzer griffbereit hat, der hat auch schon so einige davon entsorgt… Meist krankt es daran, dass die Teleskopstangen, auch wenn man sie nicht “bis zum Anschlag” rauszieht, relativ schnell brechen.Hier dagegen stimmt einfach alles: Die Stangen erweisen sich als deutlich stabiler (besser verarbeitet?), der “Kratzer” als solcher ist ebenfalls perfekt: Nicht so lasch wie manche Holzkratzer, bei denen man kaum spürt, dass sie bereits im Einsatz sind, aber auch nicht so, dass man wie ausgepeitscht aussieht. Es liegt nur noch daran, wie kräftig man selbst drückt, dann bekommt man genau das, was man will.Ebenfalls super: Die Kratzhand dreht sich nicht! Mal ehrlich: Ist es nicht nervtötend, wenn man gerade die richtige Stelle erreicht hat und loslegen will, und die “Kratze” sich in genau dem Moment dreht, man sie also erst wieder umdrehen und mit der Mission erneut beginnen muss?!Nicht so hier! Bin froh, gleich 3 gekauft zu haben, so bin ich an Schreibtisch und Bett versorgt und habe noch eine in Reserve! ;-))
