Wonderfully comforting!
I had this bible and bought this one for a friend going through recovery from trauma and addiction. She absolutely loves it and reads it every day. The devotionals are dead on point, uplifting, poignant, and are a great way to start the day with the Lord. Highly, highly recommend it to anyone recovering from ANY hardship, not just addiction. Melody Beattie, who wrote Codependent No More, writes a lot of the devotionals and they are all little morsels of comfort. Fantastic Bible and I cannot say enough great things about it. It will help you heal and also bring you closer to the Lord.

Awesome bible!
This bible has helped me stay on track with my daily quiet times as well has helped me with issues I face day to day. I particularly like the “life connections” which help me apply a passage of scripture to my own life. There is a section of helps to guide you called “where to find help when”, that give scriptures and passages when you are dealing with difficult emotions or thoughts.
