Surprising Amount of Wisdom Packed in Such a Small Book
This is my first experience with a book such as The NLT Bible Promise Book for Men with the primary objective to have a consolidated and “get to the point by verse” applicable Bible reference. I was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of layout in the internal design of this book. The immediate ease and functionality caught me off guard, never having experienced this type of book before. I am guessing the first question to come to ones’ mind is, “Why would someone want this type of biblical oriented book when they can simply go to a full Bible?” That was my first question too until I learned from a friend the very practical application of a “promise book” which is compact, easy to carry in a pocket, with immediate direct reference to the many situations which arise on a daily basis.My first surprise was the compact style of the book and further surprised by the comprehensive, ease of layout, resulting in the focused answer with a targeted biblical verse. My personal experience with every Bible I’ve read resulted in confusion and frustration. Not with this well written, organized and easily accessible book. What a wonderful relief and pleasure to find such a book containing concise pearls of wisdom dealing with specific subjects of faith.I admit, I was not aware such books existed, much less an easy to read and understand biblically specific book designed for men. This was also my first exposure to the New Living Translation Bible (NLT), an unexpected and exciting discovery in itself. In the past I’ve had to deal with attempting to make sense of the King James Version (KJV) or the somewhat easier New International Version (NIV). Experiencing this The NLT Bible Promise Book for Men was such a positive experience, I read the book in less than two days and promptly purchased a full premium version of the New Living Translation Bible to replace my old New International Version.The absolutely unique experience of having a “Bible Promise Book” specifically oriented to the needs of men was a gold mine of wisdom discovery. Nothing but a pure pleasure to read and experience, a completely functional book I can carry anywhere for immediate reference. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you are a fully mature Christian, new Christian or simply looking for a book of promises geared specifically toward men, this is the book to buy. Allow me to also share this book is outstanding for anyone questioning where they are right now in their relationship with God or the strength of their belief, as it provides excellent answers and guidance. I would recommend this book for a men,s group, purchased for personal use and as a outstanding gift for any young or adult man new or interested in the Christian faith.

I snagged this NLT Bible Promise Book for Men for my brothers, and it was a hit! It’s a perfect size for a pocket or backpack, making it easy to carry around for daily inspiration.The book is smartly organized by topics men often face, with subtopics that pose a question and then answer it with a relevant Bible scripture and its location. It’s a great way to find quick encouragement or guidance.While I would have loved a short devotional or prayer included, it doesn’t take away from the book’s core purpose. This is a fantastic gift for both believers and non-believing men. It sparks curiosity and offers comfort based on scripture.Highly recommend! Especially for those who might be intimidated by a full Bible but appreciate easy-to-digest messages of faith and hope.
