I bought this for a gift for my 91 yr old mother in law. The quality is great and looks good. I coated the wood discs with mod podge to keep the black sharpie ultra fine pen from bleeding and it worked great. Very happy and highly recommend.

Tedious work!
First let me say I love this and it’s a good way to visually remember important dates. A few points: first of all don’t use gel pens!! They too bleed! I used a standard black “bic” pen and it worked perfect! The actually plaque itself is very, VERY delicate and soft so if you do anything like hit it with a pen like I did it chipped. This project is VERY tedious and if you don’t get those little rings just right the circles and hearts won’t hang in unison. Having already done this here’s what I would do different. First, I would paint each heart pink or red and I would paint the circles another color because honestly the objects are so light you have no contrast. It’s a good value for your dollar and I’m SO glad I didn’t order a less expensive one. If I gave this as a gift to say a gramma I would definitely have it all done for her cause those teeny circle/ clasps are HARD to handle.

Quality – just what I was looking for!
Love this thing! It’s good quality, “Celebrations” is wood on top, which is nice. Months are a paint on. The strong was a little too long, so I temporarily shortened it, easy enough to cut/shorten from ties on either side. The wood pieces to write on have some ridges, so my paint marker bled a bit on some of them. Otherwise, it’s a really beautiful way to display important birthdays and anniversaries.

4.5/5*!Took off a star (wish it could be half since it isn’t a big deal), as a very small number of the discs were hollow near the base.I love it! Got it as a gift for my MIL as she wanted something to keep track of everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries. I applied a thin layer of Modge Podge to the coins to prevent the Sharpie pen from bleeding into the wood grain. I was a little worried from other reviews that the pieces would be difficult to put on, but it was really easy for me—I didn’t try to pry them apart; I simply pushed them to the side in opposite directions, and slid the disc on, then closed it again and it was super quick and easy!As another reviewer mentioned, there wasn’t enough space for the discs (especially the hearts) to be applied immediately below the board, so I put two hooked together, then on the third ring I added the discs. I’m impressed, my husband is impressed, and we’re hoping my MIL loves it just as much as we do!The quality is pretty good, unlike another I had purchased in the past (and returned) as it was a weird cork material. This is wood, just thinly cut, but seems very sturdy. Awesome buy, and I can’t wait to gift it!
