My daughter is just learning how to read, and was given this devotion book for her birthday. I love that it has a special word in a box on the side of the page and then the devotion is centered around that word. The concepts are simple, yet effective and easy to comprehend for early readers. Each devotion ties into the scripture at the bottom of the page. We’ve been very pleased with this devotion book.

Just what I was looking for!
Simple, but effective and meaningful devotions for beginning readers. It starts with a verse then explains it well for kids. It ends with a applicable prayer. I wanted something to use to assist my 6 year old with starting her own quiet time and I’m very pleased with it and so is she!

Perfect way to introduce the bible
The language is very clear, easy to understand and perfect for children. I appreciate that there are actual scriptures included, not just stories. One page at a time is the perfect length for children. Just enough to get their interest, but not so much that the lesson gets lost. The author did a really great job with this book. My child is 8 and we both love it.
