Lovely Oil Diffuser Set With Ancient Scent Inspirations of Frankincense & Myrrh
This reed diffuser arrived very quickly and was very carefully packaged for shipping. It was pristinely presented in a lovely seal box. This is a fascinating set.I love the aroma, which has notes of frankincense and myrrh. It has very faint lily of the valley and Rose of Sharon notes, but I could mainly detect the main scents of frankincense and myrrh. I also could detect a hint of vanilla and chocolate, which are listed as notes in the formula.Regardless, I love the packaging with the three wise men on the bottle, the lovely and rich aroma, and the stopper on the oil bottle. It took a little coaxing, but then it slipped off easily. The reeds are white and made more of a straw-like material than sticks, but they seemed to work fine. I didn’t like the aroma, which was either too weak or too strong, but I really liked it. Not everyone will. That is the thing about reed diffuser sets. Every person will have different likes and dislikes when it comes to aromas. This is not against the manufacturer; it’s just a fact of life. You can intensify the aroma by adding all the sticks or soften it by using just 1. If you wish, you can substitute other sticks with the kit instead of the white ones. This is a quality glass bottle with a nice protective stopper and reeds. The value for the money is very good; the oil can be replenished and the bottle reused. I have it in my living room, which is a large room, and the aroma can be detected easily, but it’s not overpowering.I will be ordering more of these sets and will give them as gifts. Not for the traditional Biblical links, but for the beautiful packaging and lovely calming aroma.5+ stars

Lovely gift for a religious friend or at holiday time!
A religiously themed gift that’s lovely for the Holidays or just whenever. These ancient scents have been treasured since the dawn of civilization. This pack is a way to bring some scents from time immemorial back to your daily life.

Not sure the scent matches
I ordered the Rose of Sharron. It says Rose of Sharron. It smells like frankincense.I suspect something just got mixed up.Nicely packaged if giving as a gift.

Beautiful Scent with a Special Meaning
I was drawn to this diffuser because of its name – it shares the name of my mother-in-law, who recently passed away. Having it in my home feels like a small tribute to her, and the scent has been a lovely addition to my bedroom. The Rose of Sharon fragrance is just right – not too strong, but enough to add a gentle, comforting presence to the room. The diffuser itself comes in a pretty glass bottle, and setup was simple. Just place the reeds in the oil and flip them every few days to refresh the scent. I’ve been using it for over a month now, and there’s still plenty of oil left, making it long-lasting and worth it. If you’re looking for a beautiful, subtle fragrance that lingers without overpowering, this one is a great choice.

Weak Scent Throw
The scent itself is unique and true to the frankincense and myrrh blend, but it’s barely noticeable in the room. I suspect the diffuser sticks might be the issue, as they are cheap straws and don’t seem to absorb or release the fragrance well. If you get this, I’d recommend swapping them out for better-quality wooden reed sticks to see if that improves the scent throw.

Cute Christmas or Hostess Gift!
Nice smell, not overpowering. Would make a nice gift at Christmas time. The gold flakes were a cute touch.

Mixed feelings about scent
I will start off with giving kudos to the manufacturer for packaging the item so well to prevent leakage. The bottle portion came inside a ziploc bag, in addition to the top part being shrink wrapped very tightly in cellophane, and the stopper being very secure and tight in the bottle top.I do not know anything about the religious connotation though it is my understanding that it has a place in Biblical history. Since I am fascinated by world cultures, this aspect appeals to me.After uncorking the bottle and adding the scent reeds/sticks, the aroma started to fill the room. At first, I really liked what I was smelling. I couldn’t put my finger on what the scent resembles. Though it’s called “Rose of Sharon,” it’s not the same as a rose, like the kind with thorns. I’ve never known what Rose of Sharon smells like before. I can attest to the fact it is not similar at all to rose or most florals. At first, when the scent was light in the air, it reminded me of a certain earthiness from being outside on a damp day. I really liked that effect. After a while (a couple of hours) when the scent came out more, it started to smell very strongly like violets and white musk. And then I started to get a headache. I had to move the diffuser to another more ventilated area due to the headache. After a while I started to like the scent less. I do think maybe I have become “nose blind” to its more pleasing earthy notes and now I get strong whiffs of powder and musk every time I walk by it. It’s definitely not a bad smell. It has a certain “dryness” to it. But for whatever reason it does give me a headache if I’m in its scent cloud too long.I would suggest putting this diffuser in a large space like a living room rather than, say, a bathroom or small bedroom. Depending on what you are going for, the strong and enveloping fragrance can either be good or bad. It doesn’t seem to lessen with the passage of time, though I haven’t had it long enough to evaporate the whole bottle.Update: Just wanted to note that after a couple of weeks the scent is still moderately strong though I think it has dampened a little bit, which in my case is a good thing. It is no longer causing headaches to be near it.
