THE CENTER PRAYER (ATARA)
The main Prayer in Hebrew on the (Atara) reads in English as follows: “Blessed are you O’ Lord King of the Universe Who has fulfilled all of the law through Jesus the Messiah and have covered us with his Righteousness.”
Pronunciation of the above Hebrew prayer in English is: “BARUCH ATAH ADONAI ELOHENU MELECH HA’ OLAM ASHER MILLA ET KOL HATORAH BIYASHU’ HAMASHIAH IKISSA ET KULANU VETSEDKATO”
THE DESIGN
THE FOUR CORNERS
The New Covenant Messianic Prayer Shawl Tallit is designed with the main center Christian prayer in Hebrew letters and the four prayers placed on the four corners In English. The unique early Christian sign (Messianic Seal) is embroidered with golden thread and all corners contain the grey and blue thread. The material is acrylic (polyester) and comes in many sizes and colors. It comes with both a plastic and matching cloth bag. Below are the four verses from the bible, one on each corner:
Malachi 4:2 “But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings” Isiah 53:5 “He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him. And by his stripes we are healed” Corinthians 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the Righteousness of God in Him” Mathew 14:36 “And they desired of Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment and as many as touched it were made perfectly well.”
THE MESSIANIC SIGN
A few years ago a clay jar was excavated in Israel which carried the early Christian seal that contained the menorah, star of David and the fish sign known as the Early Christian Sign. This Messianic sign is placed on four corners of this shawl, the Atara and the cloth bag. This sign contains the seven candle holder on top, the star of David in the middle and the fish on the bottom. The fish was used by Christians for identification during the dark Roman occupation in the Holy Land.
THE TZITZIT
The threads of the tztzit are significant. The colors of the six threads are generally white, or colors that coordinate with the garment, with a blue thread running through. The six represents the threads of our life, representing that we are set apart – holy to God. The blue thread is called the “Shamash”, or helper. This helper is the thread that is blue for heaven and royalty, and it is the one that binds the rest together and gives it its meaning. We recognize this helper as Jesus Himself, and the Holy Spirit of God that Jesus sent to be our helper, counselor and power. The Shamash is the Techelet cord of blue that wraps the white thread and is is the longest among the white cords. Most common configuration of tying the knots is outlined as 7-8-11-13 as shown in the tassels on the right.
The sum of the first three numbers (7,8 and 11) is 26 and is the numerical value of YHVH. The final number, 13, is the numerical value of Echad (one in Hebrew).

A good prayer shawl for the money.
Beautiful prayer shawl for the price. I have ordered a couple of these in the past from different vendors… this one was the most affordable option. The embroidery is beautiful and crisp and the colors are exactly what you would expect. The literature included is an added bonus.However, the low price point does seem to reflect in the quality of the outside stitching and the fabric itself. The fabric is thinner and more prone to wrinkle than the other prayer shawls I have. And the stitching around the outside edge is sufficient but a bit loose and appears it would fray easily.All-in-all, this is a good prayer shawl for the money.
