Good Book for Children
Books arrrived quickly. Great book for young readers. Devotions look good. The NIRV is third grade reading level. Of course as with most Bible translations there are places that are not real appropriate for children such as the Sodom and Gomorrah story. This version would be great for adults who have lower reading level skills as well. They make the NIRV in one that doesn’t have the words “kids” or “children” on the front. This Bible is the full text in easy to read form not a paraphrase.

Wonderful Bible for kids and others who struggle with reading or comprehension.
and even for adults. The language has been greatly simplified, but it’s also much easier to understand. The meaning has not been altered with the simplification. It can be a great resource for someone who is an adult and not a great reader — I gave it to an elderly friend recently who was having trouble reading the NIV. She found it was much easier to read and enjoy, enabling her to pursue the Bible on her own.

Perfect for ESL teens
We recently adopted our 13 year old daughter from Russia and she is still learning to read and speak English. I did not want to get a kids’ Bible story book because she is at an age where she needs to learn the teachings of Jesus. She had no religious background in Russia at all and everything is new to her. She really enjoys the devotionals and likes being able to check them off as we read them together. The topics are easy to relate to.There are very few books that are interesting enough for a 13 year old and yet designed for a beginning reader. It took me a long time to find something that she would enjoy.

Great for kids AND adults
I have an older version of this, but have 2 8-year olds with whom I am conducting bible study. This version is so much more clear for children to understand, that I got this version so that each child can use their own. Then, I bought the e-version for myself, and I have to admit, it helps me understand the bible better, so I use it along with other versions when I study.

My Favorite Devotional Bible
I love this bible. Sometimes adult devotional bibles are too deep or boring for me. These devotionals are perfect. I find the really encouraging. Even as an adult it’s still nice to be reminded of the simple Sunday school lessons we were taught as a child. It’s really the simple lessons that really matter the most.

I’ve Never Seen A Bible Quite Like This One A++++
This Bible is SOOO GREAT!! We have an 8 year old daughter who longs to read the “real bible” however none of them make any sense to her except the little childrens ones that don’t have the complete bible. This Bible makes her feel so grown up and quite honestly all she wants to do now is read “her bible” with my assistance. I guess that is a “problem” every parent longs for!! What a great way to teach a child to read!! You won’t be disappointed at all with this purchase!!

Good morning devotional
I like that the devotions are part of the Bible and not separate from it. It allows you the option of flipping a page and reading more in depth the context of the scripture given with the short devotional. Also, the NIrV is easy to read for young readers so my son is able to begin studying the Bible on his own. Very important. Overall, I like it.

Great Bible!
This is a great Bible for kids or anyone really! The devotionals are good and the format is easy to follow. The only thing I was disappointed in is that the Kindle edition does not have a table of contents so you cannot just go to a book of the Bible, you have to scroll through to find the general location.

Good for a little older kids. My 7 year old was disappointed that it did not have more pictures! Pretty much the NIV so for kids a little older.
