Life lessons, sports, and faith in one devotional
This devotional is great for young athletes who love sports. The stories are current, featuring a mix of athletes from different sports, and each devotion ties into a biblical theme. It’s not just for teens but really for sports fans of all ages. The wisdom here is timeless. The book highlights comeback stories and examples of athletes overcoming challenges. These stories show young athletes that setbacks are part of growth. Many kids today get discouraged at the first sign of struggle, so it’s refreshing to see examples that emphasize perseverance, respect, and hard work.I give this five stars for coaches and parents looking for something their athlete will enjoy and learn from.

Good Team Resource
I work with high school baseball players and am always looking for ways to help them grow, not just as athletes but as men. I came across this devotional and decided to check it out before passing it on to the team. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did.The stories come from high-profile Christian athletes and memorable sports moments, all tied back to biblical principles. The lessons aren’t forced or overly complicated, and they don’t waste time. My players aren’t exactly lining up to read in their free time, but these devotions are short enough to keep their attention and still make a positive impact.I liked that it drives home the importance of supporting your teammates, something that may seem basic but often gets lost in today’s focus on personal stats and individual performance. It’s a great reminder that real leaders on the field look out for the guys next to them.I’m planning to grab more copies for the team. If you’re into sports and want to stay on track spiritually, this one’s 100% worth picking up.

What I didn’t expect was how well it connects God’s Word to building the traits of a successful athlete. Through athletes’ stories, it encourages discipline, perseverance, and leadership – qualities we all want our kids to have! Perfect for athletes of any age.

Relatable for Teens
This book stands out from other sports devotionals I’ve picked up for my kids because it features athletes from today’s sports world. By tying Christian athletes like CJ Stroud and Scottie Scheffler to Bible verses and biblical truths through their own experiences, it provides a great blueprint for becoming a better athlete and building character.

This book is very well-written. I have a son who loves football but is still too lazy and slow to put in real effort to succeed. Nowadays, kids who are glued to gadgets often struggle with patience, perseverance, and goal-setting. I found plenty of truly motivating moments in this book for him to read and reflect on.There is quite a strong Christian emphasis, which was mentioned in the description. I don’t have anything against Jesus, but I feel that today’s kids are already too spoiled and passive. The idea of a powerful figure who will take care of their success and sports achievements, no matter what, may not be the best approach. Instead, I would encourage children to work harder and have faith in a greater power while putting in their own effort.

There are many stories that i like with role models that openly confess Jesus is Lord. It is easy to read, and has prayer, and way to put it into practice. The main issue i have with it is that sometimes it focuses too much on the human being, rather than the word of God. Almost fitting the verse into the situation, rather than letting the verse lead. But otherwise, its quite engaging.
