S.O.A.P. is the ‘ideal’ model for studying the Bible
I received this product at no cost so that I could provide a review for Amazon customers…There are many bible study journals on the market today…and I usually pass them up because I am very particular with the way that I study. I usually attend a high-end bible study class that provides excellent commentary notes on the history and culture of the scripture….however, this time I have really just been wanting to enjoy scripture and jot down my observations, how I would apply this scripture personally, and then pray that God help me internalize the personal application.SOAP did it — I love how simple, yet provided clear directives on how to soak in the full meaning of the Word.With this bible study journal, I can go to any scripture that touches me, read it, reflect, and then find my own way of applying it to my life — I need this. It makes it so personal…I would never want to say anything negative about other bible study journals — each person has to find a book that supports what they are needing most. But…using the S.O.A.P. model is so ideal.This journal provides the perfect amount of space for each of the 4 categories — I love it and plan on buying the other two colors since I can go through periods of a lot of reading. I like to save my notes and insights so that I can use them in my manuscripts when I write books.Thank you, Amazon, for your help in getting this product easy accessible to those who like to read, study, and write.

Very well made, nicely designed journal! Quality materials, paper is thick and high quality. I feel like having four separate boxes for four separate thoughts for each passage might be a bit much, but others may feel it allows them to think more deeply on each passage. Overall, it’s a nice design and will work very well for most Bible studies.

Really nice bible study journal – SOAP method
I got the pink journal and it is the SOAP method. The pages are nice and thick. The cover is beautiful with some gold foil designs. The front 4 pages has a bible section tracker where you color in the completed bubbles. 2 pages of encouraging bible verses blanks that you can fill in. 2 pages of Important Events blank. 2 pages of Daily Prayer List blank. Then the rest of the pages are 4 quadrant SOAP (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) per page. The design is nice and I don’t feel like the pages overwhelm me – I don’t like overly decorated pages.
