So I am 1/12 thru reading the Bible in one year and this devotional has made it easy to stick to. It makes each day’s Bible reading applicable to daily life, with a lesson that you can use in each devotional, even in the lists of names and Old Testament rules. It helps me see God’s love for us and His care for us, rules not to punish us but to protect us. I am really glad I found this devotional.

Wonderful devotional
I am about to start reading the Bible for the fourth time in the past four years. I never stuck with it until I purchased and used this book four years ago. It keeps me on track and offers modern application of Bible truths. I bought this book for a friend and she has, in turn, bought many copies for her family and friends. It’s fluff. I was hoping for some context that goes a little more in depth than the bear minimum. I guess I’m not surprised, just disappointed. I’ll still go through it and hopefully find some good nuggets, but so far it’s like most churches I’ve found, just a lot of milk and no meat.
