EXACTLY what I was looking for!!
This book offers a planned reading/learning/studying guide. It is a devotional and simple bible study guide all in one. There are basically 5 parts to each week. Monday-an overview. Tuesday-background info on the passage. Wednesday-a short bible study for one person or a small group. Thursday-applying it to your own life. Friday-praying based on the week s scripture. This is something one could accomplish in roughly 15 minutes each day (possibly longer on Wednesday). It is a GREAT book for anyone who has newly found themselves wanting to learn and grow in God’s word, for anyone who has been away from God’s word for a while and is ready to return to it, for any newly saved woman. I think even a teen could benefit but there are others more relevant to a teens current position in life. Great for a working woman, women with children or any woman who want to learn and grown in God’s word without having to choose between the Word and the many demands of everyday life. Easy to follow, easy to make this a ROUTINE. Also, the book came in EXCELLENT condition, not a marked page, not a rabbit-eared page, not a mark on the cover. Excellent.

    Excellant Guide
The author has laid out the daily study so that the reader can achieve the most benefit from the scripture on a weekly basis. Each day of the week uses a different “tool” to help guide you to a deeper understanding of God’s Word. On Monday the tool she has you use is “Read the Scripture”. Tuesday’s tool of background information is “Reflecting on the Word”. Wednesday’s tool, “Study the Word”, has questions to direct your thinking on the scriptures you have read. Thursday you will use the tool of “Responding to the Word” to help you see how to apply what you have learned. And then on Friday the author encourages you to use the tool of “Praying the Scripture”.Jean Syswerda has done an excellent job of laying this book out so a reader can gain the most insight into scripture. I have used several different devotional books but this is the first one I have encountered that has actually guided me through studying God’s Word without being a study book.

    Well Put Together
I rated this book a five because it was one of the best devotional read that allows you time to get to truly fellowship with GOD as a bride. It helped to get you out of your own way and love in a godly way. Your week will be joyful and eye opening to secrets revealed in one’s intimacy with Yeshua.

This is a great, simple devotional to keep you on track in the mornings. However, there are no devotions or studies entered for the weekends. How can I take a break from God on the weekends? This do not make any sense what so ever. I shall have to find another book to use on the weekends now. Otherwise the book will put your mind in the right place. It is great for those seeking a simple and surface study of the whole bible. If you are looking for something truly impacting or challenging to your faith, this will not be for you.

    More than a Devotional
The Women’s Devotional Guide has encouraged me to read God’s word regularly. In fact, since it begins in the Old Testament I am finding new treasures. It seems I have avoided the OT in the past but with Jean’s help I am finding new encouragement and a new appreciation for God’s patience and grace. Because God is just Adam and Eve He made them subject to the results of their actions. Still, He clothed them and took care of the details of their lives because He is also a loving God. Then there was Mrs. Noah. Can you imagine being cooped up in a boat for a year with a bunch of noisy, smelly animals and only your husband and immediate family for companionship? Oh my! And then there was Moses, David, Solomon, Sarah, and Elijah – all loved by God. Then there is the way Jean has divided the readings. History is exciting and so is God.

Awesome way to study Gods Word, from beginning to end. Daily
The is a very great devotional. I search for different ones each time I finish. If your looking for one to get you into the Scripture from start to finish THIS IS IT!!! I enjoy this one in particular because it places you in Gods Word Daily, you can do this in the outline type questions it gives you, or it’s written to where you can go more in depth if you wish using the points it gives. You can expand as much as you wish. It gives a great daily reading and study, or you can expand on it.

    Back to the Bible!
This has been the best devotional I’ve ever read. I can’t wait to start the readings each morning. It takes you through the Bible with historical information and then breaks it down to how it applies to our lives today. I journal along with the daily readings which makes it even more personal. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to understand the Bible and what a difference it can make.

    A nice book, but…
I just finished week two on this book. It’s nice but I don’t see how it will cover the bible in a year’s time. I had the idea that I would be reading at least a few chapters of the bible per day but so far, you read around 3 chapters on Monday and then the rest of the week is just a page of reading per day regarding the chapters read on Monday. Was hoping to get more into the bible on a daily basis.
