Author Allen F. Mahon takes a break from his serious writing to delve into some of the changes men deal with as they enter and navigate through their elder years. His whit and humor is as sharp as some of the subjects he attempts to explain. Mr. Mahon’s take on the changes he is going through, as he moves through his sixties, is unique and a bit off beat. The title of this book should tip you off as to his approach to life. As he says in this book, “We just need to deal with all that aging throws at us with dignity, grace and a good sense of humor.” If you are looking for a little laughter in your life, this is the book for you.

Great title. Fun little gift.
Gave this as a gift. The title alone makes the crowd roar with laughter. The gentleman I gave the book to was so tickled he took it to work. Everyone had a good laugh, especially the women.Very small book.

Great birthday gag gift!
Bought this for my uncle for his 40th birthday and the title alone was enough to make him laugh. A couple weeks later he told me he finished reading it and that it was actually a pretty good read – it’s also super large print so he didn’t need his readers LOL

Two books for the price of one!…I think.
Unsure how to review this book. As to what I intended to purchase: it was all there. Yes it’s silly, but isn’t that the point? It’s intended to poke friend at our “more mature” male friends. It’s not Shakespeare, but it also doesn’t advertise itself as such.I don’t know if it was just my copy, but it opens with Edgar Allan Poe’s “A Telltale Heart”. If it were meant as some type of dark humor…uh, ok, I guess. But I don’t think it’s supposed to be there, unless of course the author is trying to imply what should be done to old men!?!I’m going to gift it anyway and hopefully my friend doesn’t read into it.

Excellent
This is a very funny little book. I got it as a birthday gift for my brother-in-law who is turning 65. Don’t be misled by the title, the chapters are funny, and G rated. I may order another on my guest bathroom reading basket.

Great prank gift
Bought this for my husband and he couldn’t stop laughing. Great gift for an older person with a good sense of humor and someone who doesn’t mind hearing the opinion of others!

Got a big laugh at my son’s 50th birthday. Spent a good part of reading it out loud so the whole party could enjoy.

Very funny cheeky gift for that male family member that’s aging. Very Aussie style joking about life’s changes.

I bought this as a joke for my husband and we have both gotten many laughs out of it. It is written in a “self-help” way, and the author is humorous in their take on life for older male readers. It’s a fun bathroom read and I highly encourage you to check it out!

This a is a very short book that can be read in 15 minutes. While it has some amusement to it, the funniest thing about it is the title. In terms of having any insight or useful information for aging men (as you’d expect from the title) wrapped inside that humour… no.It makes a good ‘gag’ gift or white elephant gift because of the funny title, but that’s about it.
