Great Idea! Wish there was a modern translation version…
Great idea! What could be better than having a whole card deck of Scripture at the ready for any of life’s difficulties?.. Well, glad you asked.. What could be better is if the translation was in a language that normal people understood. The KJV is awesome in that it is an accurate translation of God’s Word, but the problem is that most normal people don’t use Old English so some of the verses are harder to understand for new Christians who are not up on the “Christianeese” and Old English. If you really want to help a newer Christian, I would recommend another, modern translation like NASB or if they are not college grads, the NLT is a pretty good, simple, and understandable modern translation.Great idea though!
