Every kid has an inner hero waiting to be inspired.
Ask any 12-year-old kid to describe a hero, and you will get some of the following answers: a superstar athlete, a soldier on the front lines, or a guy in a cape who can jump over buildings.
Most of our “heroes” are related to human achievement and glory, but the Bible has a very different concept. The list of people who were great in God’s eyes might shock you. This Christian devotional book is about their stories.
The 90 devotions feature the qualities of Bible characters that made them heroic. From Moses to Esther to Jesus, kids ages 8-12 will learn more about how these Bible people pleased God. Joshua Cooley, father of four and a former children’s minister, teaches kids that qualities like courage, worshiping God, and being a true friend are heroic actions. Each day features:An engaging devotion on a biblical heroScripture verses connected to the topicAn action step boys and girls can take to put into practice what they’ve learnedComic-book-style line drawings of the Bible characters to help the stories come aliveAs kids learn about these role models of the faith, they’ll understand what it means to be a true hero―and how to live like one.

Teaching My 9-year-old Grandson About REAL Heros
I purchased this book for my 9-year-old grandson as a way for him to discover real hero’s, rather than just those he learns about from the Marvel movies, etc. He reads this on his own; and reads it according to the devotional plan it is (which I didn’t think he would consider doing). I highly recommend for kids and adults.

Great connection to young kids
This such a great devotional for young boys. My sons is 7 and looks forward to reading this every night. It has a little history/bible knowledge, then explains it in basic terms what was just read. At the end of each day give a little challenge to do based on the verses.

Excellent buy
My 6 yr old and I are more than half way through this book. Using it as devotional time during school keeps our attitudes (his and mine) right to get work done. It has prompts at the end of each devo to go do something good; memorize scripture, find somewhere to serve others, etc.

Great for 8 year old boy
Bought as a Baptism gift for a friend’s son. She said he was so excited and read it right away, even though he doesn’t enjoy reading.

Beautiful way to start off your child’s introduction to faith and the Bible!
Purchased as an additional resource to The Action Bible as a Birthday Gift for my 7 yr old grandson and a Christmas Gift for my 10 yr old grandson. Both boys were excited about the gifts! They can’t stop talking about how “cool” and “neat” the gifts are! Even the adults in the family have marveled over these books! Bright, colorful, beautiful hand drawn illustrations! One of my favorite purchases!

Great Devotional
One of the best devotionals I have ever read. I purchased this book for my 11 year old daughter and we read one together daily. She loved it! Very well written and explained. I would highly recommend purchasing this book for any child/teen! I realized once we completed the book, even I fully enjoyed it.
