The 2:52 Ultimate Devo for Boys: 365 Devos to Make You Stronger, Smarter, Deeper, and Cooler
I bought two of these devotionals as Christmas presents for my younger brothers who are 10, and 12 respectively. I bought the corresponding Bible for my 10 year old brother, and I bought the NIV Revolution Bible for the 12 year old. As soon as I browsed through the pages, I loved it. The Devotional is prescribed for “boys” but this can adequately serve a young man up until 15. Each devotional uses scriptural lessons to provide young men with great values that should encourage them to be Stronger, Smarter, Deeper, and Cooler in Christ. The devotional is written in black and white (a turn off to some young boys), however, it is laid out in a format that is easy to understand and follow e.g. Day 1, Day 2, Day3…, etc. This is a great way to give your young man an independent approach to studying the Word of God. It is also a tool that can be used for family devotions. It will aid parents in starting discussions that would be otherwise difficult to start.I would recommend this devotional for any young man between the ages of 10 and 15. For the older boys (especially if you have a young man who does not enjoy reading), this might be better suited to them than a devotional that is prescribed for their age range. The content is not “babyish”, yet it is presented in a simple straight forward way. I am a young woman, and even though the devotion is prescribed for young men, I was able to take take some valuable lessons from this, and glean certain portions of scripture in a new light. It is certainly a way to keep the Word of God, alive and current for your young man.

Written for a preteen in a way that they can relate and understand
I could not say enough good things about this book. The passages have allowed me to open up communication with my son about very important topics that he would have otherwise been very closed off about. I know that some are concerned about it being too grown up and direct, but with all the access children have to the internet and what they learn from kids in school, I truly believe they know more they they let on. I also believe that we as parents need to talk to them at their age level, and that is exactly what this book does. I am so happy I found this book and it’s probably one of my most favorite things I have ever bought on amazon.

Great for young boys.
My son (10) asked for some type of devotional & this seemed to fit the bill. It is a nice kid friendly devotional. We use it as a discussion starter & have gotten our son to open up & share more with us. The devotions are related to biblical stories, so if he wants he can go look the stories up in the bible & learn even more. I do think that if you have a slightly older child this might be a little young, but the problem that I found is that the devotionals seem to skip the tweens (10-13).

Practical meets spiritual. Very Bible-centric.
My only complaint so far is that the devotion seems to try too hard to be cool for its audience. Aside from that, I love that the book addresses extremely practical matters from a biblical perspective. This reinforces what we are trying to demonstrate to our sons: that God has wisdom and insight for all of life. His principles can be infused everywhere. The length of the devotions are just about perfect. We’re picky, but pleased with this product.

My 10 year old loves this book. I even …
My 10 year old loves this book. I even read it to my 8 year old. While there may be a couple of hypothetical situations (such sex) that may cause some parents to hesitate, it is still a well written book that does not ‘speak down to kids’. my sons understand the message and my husband and I also take the time to expound on the devotions and relate it to problems or issues that arise in our kids lives. It is a truly relevant devotional for tweens and teenagers (or younger siblings who know far too much !)

If your kids a gamer, this is a great devotional for them
I bought this devotional for my 12 yr old old son. I like it because it’s written perfectly to contrast biblical teaching with life experiences they face today. I especially appreciate the devotional’s occasional use of video games to help make connections to help express and understand the point.

A really good read for teenage boys
Nice Christmas gift for two of my grandsons. It’s well written and has just enough to keep them interested without making them feel like too much “time” is used in bible study. KIDS! I am sooo glad I bought this and as the other boys get older will invest in it for them too.

The content is good although the quality of the pages were not as nice as I envisaged. The presentation of the book could have been better.

It has been wonderful to sit down with my preteen boy with this book. Just ourselves or even as a family with our daughter. It is a current and easy to understand book. I would recommend it to any family who want to keep a connection and to learn about God together.

Love this book for my teenage son, he isn’t much into the word of God, but at least he will read this.
